What are Variations and do I have one?

Variations are any ponies that have a factory flaw or different foreign (and sometimes local) designs that makes them unique. This includes different colored hair, different symbols, poses, symbol paint. There's so much to variations and some of the best links we've found are listed below.

One site that contains information on variant ponies is The My Little Pony Collector Page. Simply scroll down the link to see color, symbol and pose variations. Everything from the colored birthflower ponies to german princesses can be found!

Here are some very quick and basic tips to help you find out if your pony is or isn't a variant.

1. If the original hair is pink and the "variants" is white. It's not a variation. It's faded hair and it's pretty ugly.

2. Strange brown marks are not "rare". They're pony mold. However, if you really want to add these rare spots to your pony, give me a shout and I'll send some untreated spotty fakies your way. Then all the rest of your ponies can be rare too! Just place rare spotty pony with worthless TAF's and watch the brown joy spread!

3. Dirt does not make a pony rare either. If you have a "variant" who is supposed to have a white strip in her hair but yours is an off white yellowish color, it's dirt. Give it a hair washing and it will no longer be so "rare".

4. I've only seen this one once but you never know; pony's who have had body parts melted off are not rare or factory flaws. 'Nuff said.
