Keep a list of references! If you successfully complete a sale or buy or trade, start a list of email addresses and names. Keep track of all the people you've done business or trades with so that when you're working on other trades/sales/etc you have a group of people your business partner can check with to make sure you're a valid trader.

Just ask whoever you had a positive transaction with if they would mind if you used their name as a reference. Always offer to provide that person with a positive reference in return. Most often people will have no problem with it!

Also feel free to submit good trader posts to boards, newsgroups and mailing lists.
