Common Abbreviations
To shorten commonly used phrases, names, and titles, the MLP community has a list of common abbreviations.
below you will find the most common of them, this list may be expanded from time to time.
My Little Pony
- MLP - My Little Pony
- G1 - First production run of My Little Ponies (1982-1992)
- G2 - Second production run of My Little Ponies (In the US:1997-1999)
- G3 - The third and current production run of My Little Ponies (2002-present)
- DV - Dream Valley
- DC - Dream Castle (may refer to an old site that was taken down or the actual building)
- DF - When a pony is Deflocked, it's good practice to scratch DF in her hooves.
- PE - Paradise Estates
- MLPTP - The My Little Pony Trading Post - popular hub for the MLP community
- BBE - Beddy Bye Eye pony: little babies with blinking eyes
- NBBE - Non beddy bye eye: usually refers to foreign varient ponies (ie. Baby Ribbon)
- TE - Twinkle Eye pony: had jewels for eyes instead of painted ones
- TAF - Twice as Fancy: symbols covered the pony's entire body if you have a baby TAF, keep it!
- MO - mail order: type of pony you sent in points to Hasbro for. [see also Conversational]
- SS - so soft: ponies who's bodies were covered with fuzz
- UK - non us release pony, European release
- FF - Flat foot: refers to the first group of ponies that was put out and is a way to tell them apart
- CF - Concave foot: the opposite to flat foot. Again is a way to tell the era of the first 6 ponies
Conversational
- ASAP - As soon as possible
- IMHO (IMO) - In my humble opinion (in my opinion)
- LOL - Laughs out Loud
- PLMK (LMK) - please let me know (let me know)
- BTW - by the way
- MO - a money order, which is a type of payment. Can also refer to mail order: type of pony you sent in points to Hasbro for. You can usually tell the difference by context.
Condition
- MOC - mint on card
- MIB - mint in box or mint in bag if you're talking about mail order ponies
- MIP - mint in package
- MWB - mint with box
- NRFB - never removed from box
- NRFP - never removed from package
- NIB - new in box
- NM - near mint
- VGC - very good condition
- HTF - hard to find (beware sellers who use this with every auction they put up)
- VHTF - very hard to find
- FS - for sale
- FT - for trade
- FA - for auction
